Key sector support
The South West Regional Development Agency (RDA) has defined eight priority sectors for the South West.
These sectors are either:
- Strategically important for the region and would benefit from some targeted assistance
- Going through major transition and need assistance to meet the challenges of that change
- Small at the moment, but offer real opportunity for future growth in the region
The priority sectors are:
- Advanced engineering (including aerospace)
- Bio-medical and healthcare
- Creative industries
- Environmental technologies
- Food and drink
- Information and communication technologies
- Leisure and tourism
- Marine
