Exeter Graduate Internship Scheme
The University of Exeter has won additional funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England to assist local firms to employ graduates on 8 week placements across the South West. The organisations will have the option to extend the placements or take on the graduate as their need requires.
Overview of the scheme:
- The internships will be available to all graduates from any UK University and any degree category with the aim of appointments being made from mid March onwards.
- All graduates will be receive a training allowance of £210 per week (free of tax and National Insurance deductions).
- The internships will enhance your CV, and improve your chances in the job market, by undertaking practical work within a company on a real business project.
- The internships will be with a wide range of South West organisations in a variety of locations, and could include topics such as marketing, PR, technical or environmental issues, IT, web, engineering, market research, business planning, accounts, sales etc depending on the need of the organisation.
- Graduates who live more than 20 miles away from their placements will be eligible to apply for travel bursaries of up to £500 per graduate

Graduate CV and Interview Skills Workshop

This workshop may help!
It is aimed specifically at graduates who are living in the Devon area, but you don’t need to have studied at Exeter.
The aim of the day will be to help you kick-start your job hunting campaign, develop new tactics for influencing employers and to meet other graduates who are in a similar position. There will be an overview of the job market in the South West, a short input on Graduate Business placements and lots of opportunities to ask questions.
The workshop will be delivered by careers advisers from the University of Exeter and a high level of participation will be encouraged to make the session enjoyable as well as worthwhile.
