Training Opportunities
Universities throughout the region will be offering a series of workshops to assist professional and executive jobseekers back into the workplace.
INTENSIVE 3 DAY CAREERS COACHING FOR UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES, PROFESSIONALS AND EXECUTIVES
Under the expert guidance of professionally qualified careers consultants based in local universities you will develop self awareness and gain skills and knowledge to help you move successfully to the next stage of your career.
You will have the opportunity to consider:
• What are the opportunities for a complete career change?
• Am I underestimating my potential?
• Am I undermarketing myself?
• Do I really know how to tailor my job applications to my preferred employment sector?
• Is my CV as good as I think it is?
• Am I aware of the most relevant internet resources for my research?
• Do I really know what I want?
• Am I turning myself down for jobs before I apply because I don’t think I will get them?
• How transferable are my skills?
• Is this the time for self employment?
• Is this the time for further study?
Access will be given to extensive, sophisticated online careers resources including psychometric tests, ability tests and interactive resources for developing career ideas.
There will be time during the day for participants to have some 1-1 support during and between the workshop activities – the careers consultants will also be on hand before and after the workshop elements from 9am-5pm. The workshop elements of the course will run from 10am-4pm each day.
Courses are running in Bristol and Bath. To attend, you need to be referred by your Job Centre Plus Advisor.
