Most of these Careers Services direct employers and jobseekers to a central website; www.gradsouthwest.com, www.gradsouthwest.ac.uk, www.gradsouthwest.org.uk.

Those marked with an asterisk direct employers and jobseekers to access the Gradsouthwest vacancies platform through their own web pages. In these careers services, the vacancies platform is customised to look like the host institutions web pages.

The vacancies platform is operated by Graduate Prospects as an agent of Gradsouthwest. Gradsouthwest owns all data collected and processes it in accordance with the Gradsouthwest Privacy Policy.

Access to the Gradsouthwest website and vacancies platform is at the sole discretion of gradsouthwest and access may be withdrawn or limited without notice.

Information we collect as you browse our website

Registration Information for Jobseekers

When you register, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, postcode and other personal information. We will use this information to profile the website to better suit your needs and to contact you when necessary. Gradsouthwest is a partnership. Your personal data may be shared with our partners including but not limited to higher education careers services, higher education business relation departments (or equivalents), alumni departments, postgraduate marketing departments, graduate placement providers or any other partner projects of departments that offer services to students and / or graduates. You may be contacted by any of these partners.

We will use any demographic information you provide for internal monitoring to aid our strategic development and inform our marketing activity.

We are funded by the South West Regional Development Agency (SW RDA), a government agency that requires us to report on the number of people who have registered as jobseekers, and the number of business vacancies advertised.

We will supply the name, email address, postcode and place of study of all jobseekers that register with Gradsouthwest either through the Gradsouthwest website(s) or partner careers service websites. It is a condition of use that you accept this and consent to the use of your personal data in this way..

The RDA may contact a small sample of jobseekers for audit and verification purposes. By accepting these terms and conditions you have also given your consent to the giving of your personal data to the RDA in this way, and they may contact you for audit purposes, If you do not wish to be contacted by the RDA, you should put your request in writing to:

Where we specifically ask if you want to receive information from selected companies, if you answer yes, you agree that your details may be passed on to relevant companies outside gradsouthwest. We will ONLY pass on your details if you have opted into this service. You may opt in or opt out at any time by amending the selections in your profile.

Gradsouthwest will hold your email address on its systems for as long as you remain a registered user of the vacancies database. You may unsubscribe or change your email alerts preferences at any time at www.gradsouthwest.com or through a partner careers service website.

If you submit job vacancy details online, or by any other means of contact, you will be asked to provide personal and/or business information. We will use this information to provide you with our vacancy advertising service and to contact you when necessary. Gradsouthwest is a partnership. Your personal data may be shared with our partners including but not limited to higher education careers services and higher education business relation departments (or equivalents) and other departments, projects or organisations that offer services to businesses and employers. You may be contacted by any of these partners.

We will use any information you provide for internal monitoring to aid our strategic development and inform our marketing activity. By submitting vacancy information to Gradsouthwest you agree that your business details (not personal information) will be added to an online database that can be searched by jobseekers.

Graduate Prospects Terms and Conditions

Graduate Prospects does not charge companies to register or post adverts to Gradsouthwest.

The system is to be used to post relevant, suitable and accurate adverts to Gradsouthwest.

If you use the system to post adverts Gradsouthwest reserves the right to:

  • Refuse to the display the advert
  • Display the advert for different dates than requested
  • Modify the details of the advert

Using the system implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
