Job Description

DESIGNER WANTED

A few things about us

We’re at the forefront of developing new ways for our clients to present their educational material to the world, and we need someone to come and support the team. As a experienced design studio based in West Dorset, we have been in business for over 15 years, and work with some of the biggest clients in publishing sector. We are busier than ever as we go into 2018-19 and need to expand our team!

A few things about you

The ideal candidate needs to be a design graduate (we’re not specific on the field of design), with a passion for learning and developing your career in a professional but informal environment. Ready to give 100% to our small team. To be effective in this role, you have to be organised, friendly, Mac-literate, and full of creative ideas. Whatever your background, you’re going to need some Creative Suite knowledge (especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). We’d love you to know the basics of typographic design, but we can fill in the gaps once you start. Most of all, you need to be willing to learn new skills quickly, and be keen to share your knowledge with the rest of the team.

A few things about the job

This position would suit someone new to the design business, and looking to develop their skills quickly. You come along with a grounding in design and some IT skills, we’ll provide more focused training in our specific field of work. The working conditions are unique, as a successful widely-respected design studio working with exciting international clients, there’s a likelihood that this role will grow with you in any direction you see fit.
