Salary: Starting salary £25,000 per annum + benefits + pension + healthcare (we operate a Pay Scale system with the entry level starting salary based on experience and subsequent progression is based on performance and attitude)

As a Business Analyst you will play a pivotal role in our consultancy projects and will be supporting the team to deliver a varied and wide range of work, from finding a manufacturer to work with, developing strategies for new products to launch to researching food category trends in the UK and Europe, conducting competitor analysis or producing presentations for our coaching webinars.   Our clients are based in over 30 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the USA. 

The Role of a Business Analyst 

This role is perfect for a motivated graduate who has recently completed a degree or has 1 to 2 years’ post University related work experience.  You are a person that is keen to learn and develop, and looking for a role that will provide skill development and stimulation.

A more detailed summary of likely tasks is shown below: 

  • Desk research & report writing - Researching, compiling, and analysing desk research, financial and market data 

  • Analysis & recommendations - Use research findings to produce/ support client recommendations and produce professional powerpoint presentations.   

  • Client debriefs - Attend client debriefs, taking minutes, and participating where appropriate, supporting the planning, execution of workshops and any other miscellaneous activity carried out for the client’s best interests.  

  • Industry events – attend and talk to clients/potential clients at various industry events such as trade shows or conferences. 

  • Other - You will be required to perform ad-hoc duties as and when needed in the interests of the business and could include correspondence with clients, business and administration/marketing support. 

  • Team working – you will be supporting and working alongside a team of Business Analysts, Senior Business Analysts and Project Managers, and will report to the Project Delivery Director.

Working Arrangements: 

This role offers a hybrid working model with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and Babbacombe office-based Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The ability to drive and willingness to travel within and outside the UK for client meetings or events (with expenses covered) is required. 

 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • 1st Class or 2.1 Degree (Economics, business studies/management, geography, maths) 

  • Masters/MBA welcomed 

  • IT literate with proven proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint (advanced Excel knowledge desirable) 

  • Comfortable with, and experience of, researching and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data 

  • Excellent and accurate writing skills
