Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a graduate mechanical design engineer to join and expand our design team. Developing specialist machines and attachments for the agricultural and construction industries, the company has been established over 30 years and has a range of products that we sell and manufacture from our Wiltshire base.

The role will incorporate the entire design lifecycle, from researching through the design, build and testing phases. All the products are manufactured and tested on site, and vary from small handheld devices through to large self-propelled tracked machines.  Most machines are built using steel and powered by hydraulics, but a prior understanding is not required.

The company requires a creative graduate with a solid understanding of mechanical principles. The willingness to have a hands on approach and be involved in the build and testing of products is important, along with a logical approach to problem solving. A degree in engineering or similar is required, accompanied with 3D and 2D CAD skills.

The company are looking for a graduate with the correct skills and attitude, but will help to train candidate through design challenges and support their development as an engineer. Having a mechanical foundation is important but the company will teach you the specific expertise required.

If you want to have a role where you get the satisfaction of seeing your designs built and sold, and would like to work in a small team that will help you learn and improve as an engineer then please apply.

If you are interested in this graduate role, working on a range of products in different applications then get in touch. If you have any history of designing, building or testing products through university projects or placements then send us through a small portfolio along with your CV as it would be great to see what you have done.
