About the Role:

In this exciting role you will support our media relations, public affairs and external communications plans, that promote LiveWest to our wide range of audiences across online, print, broadcast and social media channels.

You will have a hands-on approach allowing you to be involved in a variety of activities. You will build relationships and communicate new ideas, with opportunities to write content for our company website, social media, vlogs, and media platforms. You must have a keen eye for detail and a fresh outlook.
 
Responsibilities range from liaising with the media, generating ideas and writing first-class content, researching news story and stats, tracking coverage and media relations. You must have effective communication skills and a passion for PR and broadcast.

This role is being offered on a full-time, fixed term basis for a period of up to 2 years.  We have 1 position available, but you can be based in our Exeter or Weston-super-Mare office. Please apply just once to the office location closest to your home address.

About You: 

To be considered for the role of Graduate - Media Relations and External Communications you will:

  • Be degree educated ideally in Broadcast/ Journalism, English, Media, Marketing or Public Relations.
  • Be able to put your personality into everything you do whether it is talking to media contacts or an internal stakeholder.
  • Have a passion for creating newsworthy content.
  • Have a fresh perspective and be creative and eager to learn and develop new skills.
  • Be able to thrive in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Be enthusiastic about your own ideas.
