Job Description

Hoot Media are seeking a PHP Developer to join their in-house development team located in Dartington, near Totnes on a 6-month graduate internship, with the opportunity for a permanent position for the right person. This role would be ideal for a recent graduate with the appropriate computing skills to gain hands-on industry experience. 

Aiding the team develop websites, they ideally require you to have some previous experience of working in a LAMP stack environment as well as having front end skills such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript

You will be working on a wide range of projects from websites and online shops to web portals and bespoke admin systems. Frameworks will include Wordpress, Bootstrap, and Laravel

There is also the potential to be involved in their latest product, Total Drive, a mobile app and management system for driving instructors and students.

Essential experience: 

  • Linux Apache MySQL PHP (LAMP stack)
  • HTML/HTML5
  • CSS/CSS3
  • JavaScript (preferably using the jQuery library)
  • Cross-browser and cross-device development (e.g. responsive design)
  • Basic server administration
