Graduate Systems Engineer

Purpose of Job - As a Graduate Systems Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the design, development, and integration of advanced naval systems. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in system requirements elicitation, analysis, and management.
• Support system design activities, including functional analysis and architectural development.
• Participate in the verification and validation of system components and subsystems.
• Contribute to the integration and testing of hardware and software components in a lab or field environment.
• Perform system modelling, simulation, or trade studies to assess performance and options.
• Produce technical documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and electronics engineers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and security standards.

Qualifications Required

Educated to degree or equivalent level in an engineering, or related discipline.

Knowledge You will Develop

• Fundamentals of Engineering: Understanding of system engineering principles and practices, including V-model or Agile development
• lifecycles.
• Domain Knowledge: Awareness of the maritime defence industry, such as sonar, weapons, or naval systems, is advantageous.
• Tools and Techniques: Familiarity with systems modelling tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Enterprise Architect) and requirements
• management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama) is a plus.
• Coding Basics: Awareness of programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and simulation environments is beneficial.
