Key Responsibilities
- Assist in system requirements elicitation, analysis, and management.
- Support system design activities, including functional analysis and architectural development.
- Participate in the verification and validation of system components and subsystems.
- Contribute to the integration and testing of hardware and software components in a lab or field environment.
- Perform system modelling, simulation, or trade studies to assess performance and options.
- Produce technical documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and electronics engineers.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and security standards.
Qualifications Required
Educated to degree or equivalent level in an engineering, or related discipline.
Knowledge You will Develop
- Fundamentals of Engineering: Understanding of system engineering principles and practices, including V-model or Agile development
- lifecycles.
- Domain Knowledge: Awareness of the maritime defence industry, such as sonar, weapons, or naval systems, is advantageous.
- Tools and Techniques: Familiarity with systems modelling tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Enterprise Architect) and requirements
- management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama) is a plus.
- Coding Basics: Awareness of programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and simulation environments is beneficial.

- Analytical Thinking: Ability to decompose complex problems into manageable tasks and identify practical solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in technical documentation and analysis.
