Our customers really are at the heart of everything we do at Seasalt and as a growing lifestyle retailer with over 60 shops and 400 wholesale stockists, we now have an exciting opportunity to expand our Seasalt Academy and welcome a graduate to join the business on a 2-year rotational scheme starting in September 2019.
This 2-year scheme is designed to give you the best start to your career, with 6-month placements in 4 diverse departments throughout the business. Our programme is flexible with regards to areas that you are interested in, but depending on business demand you may see yourself working in departments such as Brand and Marketing, Business Analytics, Buying, Customer Experience, Design, Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Merchandising, Multi-Channel Retail, Project Management, Properties, Retail, Store Experience and Wholesale.
In addition to spending 6-months in each of your 4 chosen specialities, we feel that the successful graduates need to understand our business, our customers and the wider industry, to make the experience worthwhile. Therefore, you will spend time out in our shops, our distribution centre and in our customer services department as part of your induction, in order to constantly keep the customers’ needs in mind throughout the 2 years and make a positive impact on their lives.
You will take ownership of dynamic projects and will have the opportunity to enjoy various bespoke workshops, as well as on-the-job training, in order to develop your knowledge and skills in the workplace. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a number of different departments, as we provide you with the tools and support to develop your career, all from the beautiful Cornish coast.
What we're looking for
As the responsibilities of the position will vary depending on which departments you work in, we are looking for individuals who are highly driven, innovative and enthusiastic to learn. You will have achieved a 2:2 or higher in any degree discipline and will be happy to relocate to Cornwall, as the scheme is based at our Head Office in Falmouth.
You will have a high level of interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and information to individuals and groups, as there will be project work throughout the scheme. Therefore, being able to remain motivated and well organised is essential in order to be successful in all areas of the programme.
