We are seeking an experienced and pro-active marketing assistant / graphic designer to hit the ground running joining an enthusiastic and highly talented marketing team at Silvalea Limited.
Offering a unique and niche market range of products, we are based in Newton Abbot and research, design and manufacture Replacement Patient Transfer Slings and other Moving and Handling Products for the Healthcare sector including NHS Trust, Hospitals and Hospices, Residential Care Homes, Rehab and Hydrotherapy Centres.
We have a great team of talented people and working environment. You will have all the tools of the trade to carry out your tasks including the latest Apple Mac (so experience with IOS essential), iPad, PC, up to date Videoing and Editing equipment and use of our Global Training Film Studio.
What is the role?
Maternity cover for our Graphic Designer and supporting our Digital Media Co-Ordinator and assisting the management team in various marketing tasks. to develop design concepts, produce artwork to the highest production specification for web, print and multi-media using the most appropriate software available.
Illustrative skills essential as this role requires some product technical drawing from sketches and should be able to use tablet and pen if required. See our website for examples of work required www.silvalea.com
Thorough knowledge of Creative Suite to an advanced level, understand the resolution expectations for web, print, have experience with CMS, front end web design and responsive email using programmes such as Mail Chimp for example. You will be the guardian of the Silvalea brand identity and nothing should leave the building without being checked by the marketing team.
Proven graphic design experience with strong portfolio
Illustrative/ technical drawing, technical vector drawings – Necessary
Layout and typography – Necessary
Photographic/retouching, cut-out - Necessary
Creative Suite – Necessary (advanced Photoshop, illustrator, In-design)
Video editing – desired (Premier-Pro – basic /intermediate)
Frontend web design – Necessary
Magento V1 or previous knowledge of using a similar catalogue based/e.com website
Print production experience, layout, typography – Necessary
HTML 5 & CSS3 – Desired
Interactive PDF’s using Adobe Acrobat Pro Skills for editable form design
Email construction and transmission – Necessary
Excel skills - Necessary
You will be required to be able to work unsupervised to tight deadlines, producing finished media of the highest standard. Should be able to manage own time and schedule. Be a team player with exceptional eye for detail, strong communication skills, be exceptionally creative and have analytical mind set.
Will be responsible for the image library, artwork filing, eBrochures, emails, transmission data and studio equipment (cameras, video etc). Must be methodical and highly organised.
Must provide support to the sales team for presentations, contract documentation and be prepared to turn around artwork very quickly, as the business dictates.
Be responsible for the website look and feel, general housekeeping and up-keep of all website categories, including news pages and multi-media.
