Tamar HR are looking for someone keen to develop or start a career in helping businesses develop their teams and HR foundations. This opportunity is initially about taking the lead on projects that have been scoped and now need that spark of initiative and eye for getting things done to bring them to life and completion. So you get plenty of variety and scope to show what you can deliver. After an initial twelve months working on projects we will evaluate with you how you would then like to build your career further - with supporting training. We have a well established and successful track record of developing members of the team who would like a career in personnel.
One of the major projects that you would be working on, is to enable a multi-site employer to put their people at the core of taking their business to the next level. This will combine strengthening internal communication, creating innovative ways to recruit, select and on-board new members of the team as well as putting in place some foundational HR processes. It is a project that will combine big picture thinking with administrative and project management skills.
Another project will help to drive the further growth of Tamar HR as a team of specialists who work with some of the best and brightest small businesses in Devon and Cornwall. We are a bit of a hidden secret and we need someone who can take what we are and spread the message through social media, thought leadership content and well designed events.
In a fast paced environment there will be varied smaller and larger projects that will give you a wide-ranging insight into the world of providing recruitment, HR and training solutions for SME businesses in the South West. All within a friendly, bright and supportive team based in Plymouth at Mount Wise House.
To be successful you will need to be:
- Someone who enjoys using your initiative and ‘getting stuck in’;
- Can cope with multi-tasking and situations that change rapidly;
- IT literate, both Microsoft office and social media;
- Able to see the bigger picture and use this to work out next steps;
- At ease working with a brief and within a team context.
It is essential that you have a current driving licence and have access to transport as you will be regularly working across different sites.
