Its year-on-year continual growth means ICE is expanding once again. ICE are now looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to move its production processes forward. We are currently recruiting for a manufacturing process/production engineer to join our team and drive heightened operational performance through the continuous improvement of our processes and equipment, whilst ensuring that set efficiency and quality targets are maintained and improved.


To develop production processes and flow, in order to achieve ICE Trikes ambitious targets for quality, productivity and lead-time reduction. Good gains in efficiency have been made already but ICE is now looking to move to the next level in increasing efficiencies whilst maintaining its high quality. This is a new role here at ICE and therefore there it is an opportunity for the right person to flourish and become a part of an ever growing team of focused and dedicated team members.

Key Measures

  • Productivity improvement (as per plan)
  • Quality improvement – reduction in scrap and rework
  • New product introduction, reduce lead-times to reach mass production standards
  • Health and safety, reduction in minor accidents and near misses

Broad responsibilities of the role

  • Define QC procedures for existing products
  • Produce detailed process sheets for existing products
  • Improve flow of production through procedure and process design
  • Work with design team to implement new products and design processes and QC procedures for new designs
  • Put forward ideas and proposals for design changes to improve workflow and process
  • Establish a robust and team-based problem solving activity

The ideal candidate would have:


  • Degree or equivalent in engineering
  • Lean or Sigma qualified (or similar equivalent methodology)
  • Knowledge of best practice approach in manufacturing


  • Experience with Solid works
  • Team player
  • Good communicator across all levels
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good appreciation of detail
  • Interest in cycling
