We need a highly organised and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our jewellery making supplier business as it begins an exciting new phase of growth.  You will be experienced in managing day-to-day digital marketing activities, such as social media campaigns, email marketing and website updates.  You will have an eye for detail, an enthusiasm for content generation and be happy to work independently. 

About us: 

We are a small team based near the sea in Cornwall, established over 50 years ago Kernowcraft started as a family business, now being run by the 3rd generation – Managing Director, Hannah. We specialise in providing exceptional quality jewellery making supplies and tools to hobbyists and small business owners. What stands us apart is our product knowledge, customer service and choice of suppliers.  

We offer a relaxed and fun working environment and many of our team are jewellery makers themselves, so love getting work with our products. In order for the business to grow and meet its potential we are creating this new role for someone to join the team and implement the marketing strategy as outlined our Marketing Manager. 

What we need you to do: 

The key responsibility for this role is to effectively manage the marketing activities for the business, this includes becoming the brand guardian, liaising with the team to create relevant content and offers/ promotions, generating blogs, posting on social media and updating the website as required. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised and great with data – who will provide relevant reports for the Managing Director and contribute ideas for the development of the marketing strategy. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Independently plan and implement marketing campaigns 
  • Managing the marketing calendar and marketing budget 
  • Management of Photographer, assigning roles and ensuring all photography is on brand and to high standards expected from the business 
  • Planning and delivery of Facebook adverts on a monthly basis 
  • Planning, researching and delivery of email marketing campaigns through Campaign Monitor 
  • SEO focused copywriting, proofreading and ensuring consistent voice across all platforms 
  • Collaborating with customers, influencers and other brands to blog content 
  • Creating artwork with the use of Photoshop/ Affinity for the Kernowcraft website such as sliders, banners and reels as well as online platforms 
  • Closely monitoring and analysing data to continually improve and deliver best practice  
  • Conducting regular marketing research and SEO reporting to stay up to date with current trends and deliver to appropriate team members.  
  • Collaborating with our Buyer to launch new products 
  • Working with our Adwords agency to monitor results and feedback 

We’re looking for someone with these things: 

  • Degree level qualification, preferably in marketing or other relevant discipline 
  • Accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Fluent in all Office based programmes  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Team player with a good sense of humour 
  • Previous experience with an ecommerce business 
  • Experience using an email marketing platform such as Campaign Monitor 
  • Experience updating websites using a CMS 
  • Experience using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) for business 
  • Previous experience implementing digital marketing plans 
  • Experience using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter & Tiktok) for business
  • Video editing experience 

And these skills/experience would also be beneficial: 

  • Experience of creating SEO rich content 
  • Experience with managing paid social media advertising 
  • Experience of jewellery making 
  • Confident photographer 
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite to edit images and film
