Job Role: Resourcing Consultant

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year

Location: Plymouth

Say you’ve got a task to do. Paint the garage, maybe.

Do you prefer to be told how? As in, whoever set the task giving strict directions about how they’ve done it before, the brush they used, and so on, and you must stick to that religiously.

Or would you rather be told what the results should be, and find your own way of doing it? Using a roller, or one of those spray things?

That might sound a leading question, but there’s no right answer. You might feel comfort in being micromanaged. Or you might prefer to stretch your creative muscles.

If you’re the latter, we’ve got a job for you.

We’re Next Generation Nursing & Care; a Plymouth based care recruitment agency which is part of a group of three businesses with specialisms in supporting complex care needs, and we need to hire a Resourcing Consultant.

And you’re thinking, “well why not open with that, instead of that stuff about the garage?” Well, it’s because we’re not looking for a Resourcing Consultant. We’re looking for someone to be a Resourcing Consultant.

Doesn’t matter what you are now, or what you’ve done before. It’s more important that you’re imaginative in how you find answers to problems and that you take ownership of your work. 

Specifically, you’ll be finding new ways of finding people for care jobs beyond the traditional smile-and-dial, job posting templates and ‘Help Wanted’ signs. That’ll mean going to job fairs, networking, doing your own marketing campaigns. Or whatever else you can come up with.

You like being accountable. If there’s a problem with the job market, it’s up to you to stay on top of it and find a way around it. 

You’ll make sure the people applying are suitable, and quickly getting their details to the recruiter.

This doesn’t mean reinventing the wheel every day. You’ll work with seasoned recruiters who’ll give advice and the parameters for you to be creative within, so you don’t waste energy.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have any recruitment experience. You’ll be shown the systems and processes well enough, and if you’re proactive, are comfortable speaking to and persuading people, and have decent computer and administration skills, you’ll be alright.

You will be happy to work from our city centre offices. You’ll also need to drive a car, as there’ll be some travel to events and other locations to source candidates.
