The DVLA and Inspire People are partnering together to bring you an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer experienced in Back End, Front End development or serverless technologies to join a team at the forefront of digital services. As a Senior Software Engineer at DVLA, you will be an integral part of the Applications team, developing modern, cloud based software at scale. £39,428 to £49,991 (including allowances assessed at interview) plus excellent Civil Service benefits and 27% pension. Responsibilities of the Software Engineer include:
You will be an experienced Software Engineer or Developer who can:

. Work within a technical framework of the project to meet customer requirements
. Develop Software in an agile team environment
. Application Support
. Work closely with business analysts and agile delivery managers to prepare and review user stories and tasks
. Some testing responsibilities
. Mentor junior developers within the team

Essential Skills and Experience as a Software Engineer:
You'll have demonstrable skills and experience of:

. Working on one or more large scale software delivery project
. An in-depth understanding of one or more languages
. A solid approach to producing modern, testable code.

Maximum salary amount includes a Digitec allowance of up to £7000. The final salary and any allowance awarded will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview.
