Description

The Students’ Union is here to give you opportunities, build your community and represent your voice during your time at university. You are a member of a 30,000 strong organisation and we support and engage with all of you across all campuses, courses and backgrounds.

Elected by students, the presidents and officers represent you in shaping The Students’ Union policy. They run campaigns and attend meetings in various levels of the university to make sure your views are heard. At anypoint in the year you can submit an Idea online; if enough stuednts agree with it The Students' Union will work to make it a reality. Ideas with some level of agreement will got the a meeting of 20 students elected from Sports Clubs, Societies and Student Repersentatives for approval. The presidents and officers are available to contact all year round so drop them an email or pop in to say hi.

We give you as many opportunities as possible during your time at university, whether that’s helping you find a job or trying something new. In sport you can play competitively or start as a complete beginner, and our fantastic societies surround loads of different interests from your course to DJing and dinosaurs. The best bit is if you can’t find the society you’re looking for you can start your own!

A sense of community is an important part of life at UWE; our national, faith and identity societies are a great way of meeting people with the same interests or beliefs. Interested in fundraising and volunteering? Then RAG (Raise and Give) and our various volunteering opportunities are definitely for you.

We also run shops on Frenchay, Glenside and City Campus. Our bars are great places to meet friends and socialise whether you’re chilling and having some tasty food during the day, or partying the night away.
