The Torbay and South Devon Jobs Fair

Our first fair of the autumn was in Torquay at the Torbay and South Devon Jobs Fair.

It was a pleasure to meet over 20 recent graduates who were looking to start their graduate careers. All of them were looking to stay in the south west, with many ideally looking to stay in the bay.

We also had chance to speak to some of the employers there and so here's a shout out to Riverford, Select Group, TDA, Teacher Active, Rockfish, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, Active Assistance and British Ceramic, all of whom recruit graduates.

Thank you Torbay Council and Job Centre Plus in South Devon for having us.

Exeter College is looking for enthusiastic employers who can help mould the next generation of our workforce. Industry placements are designed to give Year 2 Level 3 students a meaningful and relevant, long-term work placement (45 days, one day a week with 4 block weeks) that will allow them to gain valuable work and life skills.

Employers will benefit from the placements as, having already completed one year of study, the students will arrive with a good level of knowledge and skills, as well as being work ready with an energy to learn. Employers will have the opportunity to meet the future workforce of the industry. It will give their own staff the opportunity to take on mentoring and managerial roles and be a part of new and exciting opportunity.
