Business Continuity -Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Our job advertising services are able to continue operations to help you recruit during this period of social distancing as the Gradsouthwest team already work remotely and all our systems are email, telephone and web / cloud-based.

With Universities effectively closed - teaching having been moved online and all events cancelled at an ever growing number of Universities and Colleges - this is actually an ideal time to target final year students for your summer recruitment. The advert, application and short-listing phases can all be done electronically and remotely, as can 'stage 1' telephone and video interviews.

As a team we will not be attending meetings and events until social distancing ceases. We believe it is important to keep safe and keep others safe too.

What we can still do is reach students and graduates for you via our job board, weekly e-bulletins, targeted e-shots and social media campaigns. So even without campus events we can still help you target candidates effectively.

Are you planning to recruit?

We are keen to understand how firms are dealing with coronavirus in relation to recruiting students and early career hires— @GradSWJobs Twitter Poll:

The poll is a simple tool. Ouraim is to support our employers; and to inform our student and graduate job seekers - many of whom are feeling uncertain about their final exams and career prospects at this difficult time for all.

Please do let us know if there is anything we can do to help you respond to coronavirus.During the recent floods we supported the Environment Agency by providing them with extra resource to get their job adverts live in a timely manner.

Our Top Tips: Creating Your Job Advert

Your graduate job advert is competing with hundreds of others. What you write and how you write it will make a big difference to the response you get.

We see great adverts, and frankly we see a few truly awful ones too. And so many of you forget a call to action (we normally add it in for you if we spot it is missing!)
