Tight Labour Market Continues

The latest Labour Market Outlook Report from CIPD confirms that "for now, the labour market remains incredibly tight and candidates are hard to come by." It says that "employers are pulling out all the stops to attract, and crucially, retain staff."

We are certainly feeling the pinch, with vacancies attracting fewer candidates and taking longer to fill. We recommend that as businesses, you plan well in advance, allow adverts to run for longer, and be very clear why you're a great place to work. Research shows that candidates are looking for hybrid working so offer this where possible.

We're doing our bit to help by offering free extensions to adverts where they are needed, and soon we'll be on the road again at careers fairs, meeting potential candidates and promoting the opportunities available to them. We've also frozen our prices in recognition of these challenging times. We can't wave a magic wand, but we can but rest assured, we are doing all we can!
