Another academic year comes to an end...

Summer is upon us, even if the weather hasn't noticed it's July. With team holidays, this edition of our newsletter will be for July and August, as we can't write it from a tent in Cornwall with dodgy WiFi.

For those of you also heading off for a few days, have a great break, and we'll be back in your inbox in September.

For now though, here is our normal run down of the state of play in SW graduate recruitment.

Business West’s latest Quarterly Economic Survey (QES), which polls businesses across the South West, reveals 69% reported difficulties in recruitment, particularly for skilled manual/technical and professional/managerial roles. Despite this, 79% of respondents are looking to recruit full-time positions and 49% for permanent positions.

If you haven't yet recruited from the Class of 2024 you need to have your adverts live before they are all snapped up!

Did you know?

> Pay for full-time staff rose in June at the fastest pace this year, according to the latest Report on Jobs from KPMG and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation

> The British Chambers of Commerce say that businesses are reporting recruitment was more difficult in Q2, with more firms facing problems hiring staff

> New work-week trials are hitting the headlines: BBC news Story. Is your company planning for different hours?

Are you looking to grow your team?
