September brings a flurry of Careers Fair registrations hitting our inbox.

We are currently registered for Exeter, Plymouth, Bournemouth and South Wales. If you want us to promote your vacancies at these fairs Post a Job with us in advance of the fair and we'll do the rest.

> September ONS labour market data showed mixed signals. The number of vacancies and unemployment numbers are starting to decline, but economic inactivity remains high

>Regular earnings (excluding bonuses) growth remains relatively strong at 5.1%, May to July 2024, with annual growth (including bonuses) at 4%

>Good Growth for Cities report by consultancy firm PwC has ranked Plymouth as the best city in Britain for economic performance and quality of life

>Skills England has now been launched. It is intended to ensure training provision is aligned with the needs of the economy. It will bring together central and local government, businesses, trade unions and training providers to better understand the nation’s “skills gap”
