Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our site in Yeovil for an intern to join us within our engineering team for 12 months, specifically to learn and perform safety, reliability, and maintainability analysis on mechanical equipment used within the aerospace industry.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for highly motivated individuals currently studying an engineering or mathematical degree who have a particular interest in the mechanical workings of aerospace equipment. A great deal of this role involves looking closely at reliability so someone with a highly analytical mind is someone we would be keen to speak to.

What will you be doing every day?

  • Undertaking reliability analysis
  • Applying processes to predict component and mechanical reliability
  • Presenting on analysis findings
  • You will be exposed to how parts are maintained
  • Training customers on specific equipment
  • You may assist with the writing of some technical manuals
  • Provide estimates on project timelines

What skills and requirements do you need?

  • You must be studying an Engineering or Mathematical degree (Masters)
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment would be advantageous
  • An interest in aerospace would be beneficial
  • IT literate
