Job Description

As a graduate on our corporate tax programme, you will be working as part of our corporate tax team who provide both compliance and tax advisory services to the firm’s larger corporate clients. You will be required to prepare and advise on tax computations and deal with associated administration for larger companies. The role will provide a thorough grounding in all aspects of corporate tax compliance and ad-hoc assistance in advisory projects undertaken by the team, whilst becoming a fully qualified chartered accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for limited companies
  • Prepare accounting entries necessary for client companies’ financial statements

  • Deal with tax administration including the monitoring of filing deadlines

  • Ad hoc tax research and analysis

  • Develop and strengthen client relationships

Academic requirements

  • A 2:1 degree in any discipline (obtained or predicted)

  • 280 UCAS points, excluding general studies (obtained or predicted in the same year)

  • Grade B or above in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent.

Training

  • All trainees study at Reed Business School in the Cotswolds, following a residential linked-learning programme

  • Personal development (IPD) aspect of ACA training covered by our in-house, ICAEW accredited programme

  • Takes place under a 36-month ICAEW approved training contract, which outlines the support you will receive from Francis Clark and what is expected of you in return with regards to your training

As well as a PKF Francis Clark employment contract, students are also required to sign an ICAEW ACA training agreement, which outlines the support you will receive from PKF Francis Clark and what is expected of you in return with regards to your training.
