Job Description

The Marketing & Communications Executive Job will provide a high quality and consistent service to the business, delivering a broad range of mainly online, but also some offline activities.

The role will suit a career driven candidate with the ability to multi-task and switch priorities at short notice according to the tactical needs of the business.

Attention-to-detail, excellent written and verbal communication, a good understanding of the fundamentals of marketing, an eye for design, a positive attitude and an appetite to take on a challenge are pre-requisites.

Job functions:

  • Working with our creative and web-design agencies to ensure that the businesses websites meet the evolving needs of customers and teams across the business including marketing, sales, training, customer experience and support.
  • Maintain and update existing marketing material and develop new material within pre-set brand and campaign guidelines as required.
  • Ensure that the business takes advantage of all sponsorship/partnership opportunities by managing our relationship with partners, spotting opportunities to gain profile and supplying the required material to take advantage of the opportunities (eg: adverts, banners, editorial).
  • Develop and deliver online campaign activity (eg: website, banner advertising) working with the businesses preferred agencies.
  • Proof, monitor and maintain consistency across all marketing material to ensure brand compliance.
  • Write customer facing copy for online and offline activities (websites, emails, letters, brochures, newsletters, help documents, press releases etc).
  • Monitor brand reputation across social media and act in response according to the businesses social media/public relations strategy.
  • Support the Marketing Team in other activities as required.
  • Work as an active member of the Marketing Team to deliver a high level of service across the business.
  • Actively contribute ideas to the team in order to drive marketing activity, business growth, reduce costs, drive efficiency or raise quality.

Person spec:

This role will suit someone with either an established background in sales/marketing or a relevant qualification.

  • Educated to degree level or experience in a sales or marketing related role
  • Experience working in a structured office environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent at multi-tasking
  • Creative in approach, seeking out new ways to deliver greater efficiencies
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Adwords would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of setting up or maintaining website content would be an advantage
  • Positive attitude, even when working under pressure
  • Comfortable and confident when dealing with new technology
  • As happy working as part of a team as working on projects alone
  • Full, clean driving licence – there will be a requirement to travel between offices and to represent the business at events.

Note this is not an inhouse design role and as such does not require design skills or knowledge of design packages. The job holder will work closely with designers in our contracted agencies for this purpose.
