Graduate job opportunity – Insolvency Administrator

Richard J Smith & Co LLP is a boutique firm of Insolvency Practitioners and Forensic Accountants based in Ivybridge, Devon with offices also in Truro and Exeter. We are the largest independent firm of Insolvency Practitioners in the South West and have an excellent reputation and relationships with other professionals in the region.

Restructuring of the firm and an expectation of increased work flows due to the current economic crises, has created an opportunity for a graduate to join our busy team.

As an Insolvency Administrator you will assist the Partners and Managers in the administration of a portfolio of varied insolvency cases brought into the firm, both corporate and personal, including Administrations, Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Company Voluntary Arrangements, Bankruptcies and Individual Voluntary Arrangements. The role is partly office based (administering and preparing financial and legal paperwork) and partly out of office (working on site or at client meetings, dealing with issues that arise in insolvent entities).

Full training will be provided including the opportunity to study for Accountancy and Insolvency qualifications. The firm is an ICAEW authorised training firm.

Location: Ivybridge, Devon with WFH opportunities in time

Key Requirements and skills:

  • Graduate (2:1 minimum) in any subject
  • Accounting and business graduates preferred
  • 100 UCAS points
  • Full driving licence, and access to a vehicle
  • Organised and willing to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Attention to detail, numerate and literate
  • Ability to grasp complex issues
  • Comfortable with IT
