"A critical shortage of workforce skills" says British Chambers of Commerce

The economic shocks of Brexit, Covid-19, the 'cost of living crisis' and inflation have created tough trading conditions and intense competition for skills.

If you are looking to fill skills gaps, expand your workforce, or replace those leaving there is only really one source of new recruits - those entering the workforce from education for the first time.

So if you are thinking of recruiting this year's finishers now is the time to advertise - before it's too late and they are all taken.

ICYMI: What the University marking and assessment boycott means for employers

📣 This is important so we are running the article again - in case you missed it last month!

145 UK universities are affected by the University and College Union (UCU) member Marking and Assessment Boycott. This means is that some University staff have not been taking part in activities relating to assessment, including the marking of student work.

This means some students at some Universities are being awarded a University Degree with the title or classification pending.

Employers who have made offers conditional on an impacted student’s final degree classification, may have to make contingency plans.

Please stay mindful that impacted students have been placed in a difficult situation through no fault of their own.
