What the University marking and assessment boycott means for employers

📣 What you need to know

145 UK universities are affected by the University and College Union (UCU) member Marking and Assessment Boycott. This means is that some University staff have not been taking part in activities relating to assessment, including the marking of student work.

This means some students at some Universities are being awarded a University Degree with the title or classification pending.

Employers who have made offers conditional on an impacted student’s final degree classification, may have to make contingency plans.

Please stay mindful that impacted students have been placed in a difficult situation through no fault of their own.
